Gajan completed his Ph.D. at ETH Zurich in cloud robotics and control systems in 2014. Gajan conceptualized and developed Rapyuta, a pioneering cloud robotics platform, during his work with the RoboEarth project; an EU funded project to develop a world-wide-web for robots.
Gajamohan also led the development of Cubli, a small cube that can jump up and balance on its corner, recording over 10 million views on YouTube.
Prior to joining ETH Zurich, Gajamohan worked on formation control of spacecraft at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.
As one of the top ranking students in the national university entrance exams in Sri Lanka, he was awarded the prestigious Monbu-kagaku-shou scholarship from the Japanese Government in 2001.
